Mines: tiles, odds and returns

Set the board before the bet

The board has 25 tiles. Choose 1–24 mines before the round starts. Mine locations are fixed for that round. Revealing a mine ends the round with no return; a safe tile lets you continue or cash out. Previously revealed tiles cannot be selected again.

Safe does not always mean profit

With three mines, the first selected tile is safe with probability 22/25, or 88%. The first safe pick gives a 0.96× return under these rules: a $1 stake returns $0.96. Two safe picks give 1.10×, or $1.10. These examples precede any current payout cap.

Single picks and a batch

You can select tiles one at a time. A batch is available only before any tile has been revealed: it settles automatically, paying the batch return if every chosen tile is safe, or zero if a chosen tile is a mine. Clearing every safe tile also settles automatically.

How the multiplier is calculated

For m mines and k safe picks, the multiplier is 0.85 × the product of (25 − i)/(25 − m − i), for i from 0 to k − 1. The multiplier is rounded down to two decimal places, then the return is rounded down to cents and limited by the recorded cap. There is no minimum-stake return guarantee.

Availability and recovery

An account is required. Before betting, check USD availability, your stake and the return limit shown by the game. A return includes the original stake; it is not net profit. If a response is interrupted, recover the original command before sending another. The animation does not choose the result.

Sources and content checks

Rules and numerical examples were checked against the versioned rules used for recorded game results. Examples show returns before subtracting the stake, not promised profit.
